Alyce Goddard was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1988. After graduating from Edith Cowan University in 2009 with her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and a Diploma in Education, Alyce has participated in many exhibitions around Western Australia, whilst working as a teacher and becoming a Mum. In 2013 she held her first solo exhibition, Childlike, at Kurb Gallery and has been commissioned to create a number of portraits over the years using various media and styles.
Alyce specializes in portrait paintings and drawings and believes that a successful portrait contains a very real part of the subject being revealed. She draws the subject as they are, no masks, just the raw beauty that represents who the person truly is. To Alyce, conveying the essence of the subject is paramount.
